7 months

Happy 7 months, Reese!

Weight: 21 pounds

Ears: Back to normal - yay!

Reese's 7th month can easily be described with one word: Teeth!!! Seemingly overnight, he popped out FOUR top teeth and a 3rd bottom tooth is now poking through too.  Here's his gummy toothy grin:

He continues to be a good eater and we've now added blueberries and applesauce to his diet. Yum! He gets 3 solids a day (during regular meal times) and is packing on the pounds.  The clothes that fit him the best are 9-12 month. He sleeps from 7:30 pm to about 6 - 6:30 am and takes three 1-1.5 hour naps a day (roughly at 8 am, 11 am, and 2 pm).  I hope his 2 morning naps will condense into 1 long morning nap sometime soon!

Yesterday, we hit a big milestone with him: we bought a big boy car seat! Goodbye, infant carrier...Hello, big Britax Marathon car seat. It's going to be interesting going to the grocery store with the 2 of them...Reese isn't quite big enough to ride in the toy car attachment on the kid-friendly grocery carts...so, I think I'll just put him in regular the child seat (and use the fabric grocery cart cover) and either let Avery walk beside me OR let her just sit in the big basket part. Hmmm...wish me luck!

Any day now, I'm expecting Reese to crawl. He can easily get up on all 4s and rock back and forth. He loves to just play on the floor in the living room and hit/grab/spin all the toys that I place around him. He could easily entertain himself for a good 30-40 minutes and it's awesome. Avery is pretty good playing with him too, but she can be pretty possessive sometimes and steals his toys. "Sharing" and "being a good helper" are really emphasized in our house!:) He's about to out grow his over-the-door jumper (getting too tall and heavy) and he doesn't last too long in his exersaucer anymore either. He likes his "independence" on the floor the best.
