Rees-ie

"Hey, Rees-ie, Heeeey" is how Avery talks to her little brother. Where did she learn that? From me. To get him to quickly smile, just say that little phrase and he'll give you his big, toothy grin. It's so sweet...

Here's a little update on my Rees-ie...
-Eating more solids now...carrots, green beans, and prunes are now in his diet! I've tried to give him some mashed up avocado (thinking he'd love it since it's Avery's favorite food), but he did NOT like it at all.  He's only likes the green beans when they were mixed with an orange vegetable...but, at least he's eating them!
-Sleeps from 7.45 pm to somewhere between 6.30 and 7.30 am.
-Takes 3 naps a day (average)
-He's currently fighting his 3rd ear infection. Boo. I took him to the doctor today for his 6 month shots (because he couldn't have him during his 6 month well-visit due to the fever from ear infection #2) and, lo and behold, his right ear was infected again. So, we're back on medicine to hopefully clear it up once and for all.
- Last week, Reese was 7 days into the 10 day dose of amoxicillin (for ear infection #2) when he woke up with a weird, red rash all over his arms, legs, trunk, diaper area, face, and ears! I had no idea what it was. Eczema? Bug bites? Allergy to laundry detergent? I called the doctor and we got an appointment for that morning. What was it? He is allergic to penicillin. Reese had amoxicillin a few weeks before (for ear infection #1) and had no reaction at all...but, surprise, he's now allergic to it.  So, Reese is on a penicillin-free antibiotic now, whew.
-He's getting some top teeth now...they're just starting to poke through!
-Likes to sit on the carpet (with little pillows wedged all around him) and swat at his toy basket ball hoop and "Spin Around Learning Town" toy
-Loves a LeapFrog stuffed animal dog called "Scout". It comes with a USB cable and, after plugging it into your computer, you can program it to say your child's name, favorite color/food/animal, and play different songs. It's collar lights up and it's just the cutest thing! Avery has the girl version, Violet, and those dogs are a big hit with both of them:)
That's about it for now...thanks for reading!
