Happy 1st birthday, Avery!
We had a wonderful day yesterday (Feb. 24th) celebrating Avery's birthday! Wade took the day off work and we just had a great time. We woke her up by singing "Happy Birthday", then we dressed her in her birthday outfit:
Avery and I went to the library at 9:30 am for story time (and all the kids sang Happy Birthday to her there too!) and then we went to the mall for lunch. Avery tasted her 1st bit of Chick-fil-A ice cream and she loved it!She also loved these sweet purple roses from her daddy...
Purple means "Love at First Sight", so these were perfect for her!Then, it was naptime...and then, party time! Wade's parents came down from Gaffney and we celebrated with cupcakes and presents...I had to hold her hands back because she was reaching for the candle!

It was a wonderful day and we had so much fun. Wade and I also got to go out and celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary (same day as Avery's birthday!). His parents watched Avery and we went to Mr. Friendly's for a great dinner!
Avery also had her 1 year check up today (Feb. 25th). Here are her stats:
Weight: 23 lbs. 7 oz. (A little lighter than a few weeks ago - probably because she was only wearing a clean diaper this time!) 80th percentile
Height: 30.75" - 92nd percentile
Head: 19.5"- 95th+ percentile
A big healthy girl! We love you so much, Avery! Happy 1st birthday!
What a blessing she is! Can't believe she is one and what cute pictures!

ReplyDeletei have really enjoyed watching Braelyn change from a baby to a little toddler, starting to talk, dancing, faking sneezes...i love all the personality and communication :) we need to plan a ut girls reunion for this summer again.
