3 months old...
8 months!!!
...and the outfit still fits!
-She is pulling up on nearly everything that crosses her path. This has made it nearly impossible for me to just plop her down on the carpet in the living room and watch her play from in the kitchen. It's also caused us to start baby-proofing the house - outlet covers and cabinet locks are being installed right now!
-She is "low crawling" all over the place, likes to crawl from the living room to the kitchen and back, and likes to play with a few magnets that I put on the bottom of our frig.
-She has a top tooth coming in! The top, left tooth is poking through and this finally explains why she has been chewing on stuff all around the house, like her pack n'play...
-She now has a "big girl"carseat! She outgrew the infant carrier (it had a 22 lb. weight limit) a few weeks ago and is now sitting pretty in her new big carseat. After asking my friends and doing some research online, we got a Britax Marathon carseat and really like it. It took forever to install (hours!) and we even had to look up a video online to figure it out, but we finally got it in and it's great. She's pooped in it once already, so it's officially ours:) ha!
-She eats solids 4 times a day and will now eat green vegetables by themselves! No more mixing them in sweet potatoes to disguise their flavor/grossness. Yay! She loves eating fruit in her fruit "net" too. She likes biting on cold apple slices and it's a good way to get natural "juice" too!
-She sleeps about 11 hours at night and takes 1 or 2 naps during the day. She still is taking an 8 oz. bottle of formula before bed because it helps her drift off to sleep...Zzzzz....
-She's started to crinkle up her nose and make a really cheesy smile. It's so funny! Here's a video of me trying to get her to cheese it up:
-She's had her 1st swine flu shot and is due to get the 2nd, and final, one in December...if they are still available in SC.
-Books are so fun for her right now! She loves her Elmo Animal Adventures book and, thanks to reading it over and over, I have the whole thing memorized. So, sometimes as we're playing with her Elmo doll, I'll start saying the words that are in the book and she will just look at me in amazement and smile! It's adorable.
-For Halloween, all 3 of us set up camp in our driveway and handed out candy out there. We ate dinner outside, took pictures, talked to all the trick-or-treaters, and had a great time! We ran out of candy after 1 hour in, so we had to quickly go inside and turn off the lights. We'll know better next year!
Relaxing...
Boo!
That's all for now!
Hey Sara! Thanks for the bday wishes. Sounds like Avery is getting more active, which means everything changes! We are trying to decide on a new carseat for Braelyn. She is still in the infant carrier, but needs to change. I'll have to check that one out. I can't wait for our next girls get together. Thanks for all the posts and pics. Have a good week!
